Carpenter in Haarlem and Amsterdam
Carpentry is the trade we’re strongest in. We hang and fit interior doors and frames, fit skirting boards and wall panelling, box in pipes and repair wood rot, in old houses and apartments as well as new builds. Every job starts with measuring, because in Dutch houses nothing is quite straight: that’s how doors end up closing properly and joints stay tight.

How much does a carpenter cost in Haarlem or Amsterdam?
For common jobs we have fixed prices: hanging an interior door costs €125 and fitting skirting boards €16.50 per metre, incl. VAT. Other carpentry is €62 per hour incl. VAT, materials separate. Your quote lists every item before we start.
Can you hang a door I bought myself?
Yes. We hang it, fit the hinges and the lock, and shorten it if needed, for €125 per door. If you’d rather leave it to us, we supply and fit a standard door with hinges and handle from €325.
Can wood rot be repaired, or does the frame have to go?
Usually it can be repaired: we cut out the rotten wood, fill it with a two-component filler or a new piece of wood, and the frame is ready for paint again. Repairs start at €165. If the frame is too far gone, we tell you and quote a replacement.
How do I hide pipes along the wall?
With a box or casing (a “koof”) in wood or plasterboard, finished so it looks part of the wall. It costs from €85 per metre, ready for paint, and we leave an access hatch where valves or meters need to stay reachable.
