Staircase renovation in Haarlem and Amsterdam
A worn or creaking staircase can look new without being replaced. We clad the existing treads and risers in laminate, PVC or wood, close open stairs and fit new handrails. Dutch stairs are steep and often turn, so we measure every step and cut each piece to fit.

How much does a staircase renovation cost?
Cladding a step and its riser with laminate or PVC, standard material included, costs €135 per step with us, incl. VAT. A straight staircase of 13 steps comes to about €1,755; each winding step adds €25.
How long does a staircase renovation take?
A standard staircase usually takes one to two days. The old treads stay in place, so there’s little dust and you can use the stairs in the evening.
Can you close open stairs?
Yes. We fit risers between the steps, which makes the stairs safer for children and pets and quieter too. It costs €39 per step, usually done together with the cladding.
